This week on the show, its the multi talented and all round lovely person Joan As Policewoman. What a thrill to chat to Joan ahead of her Australian Tour dates: tickets from https://theprestigepresnts.com.au Joan is not your typical singer/songwriter. Her career in music began as a Violin player and backing vocalist, she spent some years living in New York, where she was in a 3 year relationship with the legendary singer/songwriter, Jeff Buckley, right up until his tragic drowning in 1997. She went on to form a band with Jeff’s former band mates, Black Beatles, as a way of trying to heal from that tragic loss.

She’s also had spells playing with Damon Albarn from Blur, John Cale, Lou Reed, and she’s currently playing keyboards and singing in Iggy Pop’s band.

In this interview we explore Joan's musical journey, what prompted her to become a solo artist in her own right, her solo career to date and her many collaborations.
